London, United Kingdom, 22 April 2025

CGI (TSX: GIB.A), (NYSE: GIB), one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services companies in the world, is building on its existing partnership with His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) with a new four-year, £47.5 million contract to develop and strengthen its user-focused technology solutions. HMRC is the UK government department responsible for safeguarding the flow of money to the national treasury through its collection, compliance and enforcement activities.

Working alongside in-house experts at HMRC’s Chief Technology and Design Office, CGI will provide enterprise, solution and technical architecture capabilities to HMRC.  It will also  provide additional capacity and expertise to its user-centred design activity to support transformation programs. CGI will continue to work closely with HMRC’s delivery teams to improve its IT services, including those which are public facing. HMRC has one of the largest IT estates in Europe and this partnership supports the department’s aim to deliver a more accessible and enhanced user experience for citizens.

Kevin O’Neill, Senior Vice President and Business Leader for Government and Justice for CGI in the UK, says: “CGI has an established track record working with the UK Government, and this is another opportunity for us to continue to help HMRC to materially improve its offering and citizen services, with a strong focus on enabling their evolution for the future.”

The contract was awarded through Lot 1 of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) DALAS framework. CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring goods and services. The DALAS framework is a collaborative structure created by CCS and HMRC to improve the delivery of IT application services on a multi-supplier, multi-year approach, enabling agencies to transform legacy services to more cost effective and innovative services.
